We stayed here as two families and found the accommodation suited us perfectly. The division of upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms worked really well-with two separate staircases leading to the sections. Downstairs it’s spacious and just as it looks on the pictures.
The garden was a lovely size, next to the quiet roadside but needed to watch the little ones near the nettles. Insect repellent is a must for the evenings as due to the location it was popular with midges.
The house was perfect located for most attractions were a short drive away and the views everyday towards the mountains were incredible.
The host was friendly and helpful and we wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.

The cottage was wonderful and an excellent place to stay to relax and to discover more about the beautiful North Wales countryside..

The bins were left outside not in the bins provided therefore were strewn around by the wildlife.. Not such a welcoming site.
We did clean them up into the bins for council collection on the Monday morning.
The beds were comfy although it was questioned by some in the party if they had been clean on.
The oven certainly could have been cleaned before we arrived. As could the clothing found behind the couch in the lounge.
The number of glasses which had been put away with a crack in them was shocking I took out 4 and put them aside. There was the benefit of many more
There was an abundance of utensils. Which was very useful.
A reminder to bring some tinfoil would be good.
The dishwasher was good to go after we cleaned the filter and filled the salt. Something I didn't expect to have to do.
The use of the two fridges for such a large party was very useful.
The cottage was very well laid out.

The cottage was lovely and homely.. Bit disappointed to learn that one of the bathrooms was out of bounds the day before we were due to arrive but didn't hinder our trip. Location was ideal. Overall we were really happy with the accomodation and had a lovely time. Would definitely consider returning. Gary (the home owner) was lovely and extremely helpful when we locked ourselves out! Apparently we were not the first haha.

Is Y Deri is a great base from which to explore Harlech and the surrounding area. The beach at Harlech is beautiful and we spend a great afternoon exploring the castle.
The house itself is right on the road, which is a bit off-putting at first. However, the traffic noise and disruption is minimal when inside. The garden is small but really nice and there's a hillside walk from a gate at the back. The house is spacious and good for large groups. The lounge is especially nice, with three huge and very comfortable sofas.
We were disappointed by a few things, such as the cleanliness of the house. Most surfaces are dusty and the rooms smelt fusty. The kitchen is relatively well equipped but the fridge is very small for a house of this size. The mattresses on the beds seemed old and were all pretty saggy and uncomfortable. It's a shame because it makes such a diffference when staying somewhere if the beds are half decent.
It was great to have a travel cot, high chair and booster seat available at the house. It saved us a lot of space in the car not having to bring those.

Generally very pleased with accommodation at Is Y Deri, but felt that there was room for improvement in cleanliness in some areas, e.. G. floors, especially downstairs. Bathrooms however were very clean. Fridge space is rather limited for a cottage for up to 10 people. That said, we had a great week and would be happy to book again if visiting the area.

For a group of girls heading to Zip world this was perfect! Very clean on arrival, very cold when the heating turned off at night but the log fire was great! Would definitely recommend.
