As experienced people in staying at self catering homes we soon recognise a great stay. This is a facility where the owners have made big efforts to ensure their guests have a great break. This is a very spacious, clean and comfortable facility in a beautiful location with the garden overlooking the river.
It's set well away from the road in a nice quiet position.
Within an hour you can get to all the major location in Snowdonia as well as the coastal locations including the Lleyn Peninsula. There is a Co op supermarket in Dolgellau just twenty minutes away that has a good supply of goods etc.
There is a good sized double bedroom downstairs with shower and two upper bedrooms, two single beds and a single plus bath with shower.
Perhaps the upper rooms may be awkward for anyone with a disability or tall due to wooden beams and narrow stairs. Having said that my 83 year old sister managed fine.

Hen Gelligemlyn is in a very good location to discover North Wales.. There are also lots of beautiful local walks so you do not need to go far to experience the lovely countryside.
Sarah and Gavin are extremely accommodating and there was a welcome hamper for us on arrival which was very much appreciated. The Annexe is very equipped and clean and has a lovely view onto the garden.
Our boys (9 and 7) played football with the owners children before/after days out which was nice. They are a lovely family. It was our first trip to Wales and the Annex was perfect. We will definitely be back.
Thank you for a lovely stay.

The owners were so helpful with the current crisis occurring.. We really couldn't have wished for more helpful people. They always responded quickly and we had a fantastic holiday, in a wonderful cottage in beautiful surroundings! We love it there. We've been before and we are likely to go back again.

This is by far the best cottage we have been in as a family.. It is so comprehensively equipped we didn’t need any of the usual things we normally take with us. Sitting in the lounge and looking through the bi-fold doors on the wonderful view is unforgettable. There is nothing negative to say about this property and we cannot wait to stay again.
