Holiday Rental Description

Holiday home
Resting within the wonderful Snowdonia National Park and lying near to the coast in the town of Harlech is this detached house, enjoying amazing mountain views. Glyn Morfa offers a large family or a group of avid walkers the chance to relax in a homely base when they're not adventuring the Welsh coast and country. Enter through the neat boot room where you can take off any wet or muddy clothing, before heading into the bright and spacious sitting room; step atop the slate flooring and settle onto one of the plush grey sofas before the TV, or light the gas fire and converse into the evening. Come together around the traditional farmhouse dining table in the kitchen/diner, a classic country style holds a range of appliances in this large room with an electric oven and hob to help you create your favourite go-to recipes. Continue to the back of the property to find a handy utility room where you can make use of the washing machine, especially useful on longer stays, with a shower room here too and a lovely twin bedroom, offering ground-floor accommodation suitable for those who'd rather not tackle too many stairs. Perch outside and relish the mountain and country scenery as you sip on a morning cup of tea, as the cows and sheep graze in the fields you can think about your plans for the day ahead. Travel upstairs to find your own sleeping spot, find a double bedroom first, decorated with pretty yellows, whilst next door is the king-size bedroom featuring elegant dark wood furnishings and accents of jade green décor. Find the bathroom to be spacious and home to a bath with a shower over, with lovely touches such as the mosaic-style flooring bringing a certain vibrancy. Lastly there is another double bedroom, find purple and lilac colours and a window offering amazing views to wake up to, as well as an original feature fireplace. Find the UNESCO World Heritage status Harlech Castle to be an incredible and imposing feature of this delightful coastal town, built in the 13th century it's said to be the best stronghold built for Edward I out of all those in Wales. The castle is visible from all over the town and from the pristine sands of Harlech Beach where calm waters are great for swimming, and a four-mile stretch of beach means you can delight in strolling the coast. Enjoy a round of golf on the 18-hole course at Royal St. David's Golf Club, a well-known and loved course established all the way back in 1894, it is still a popular championship course today. Visit the Guinness World Record's 'steepest street' found in Harlech, Ffordd Pen Llech has a gradient of 1:2.67, cyclists can challenge themselves to reach the top, or you can instead walk up and visit the shop and restaurant along the way. Head into the heart of Snowdonia National Park and explore via foot or bike with a host of well-mapped routes, or enjoy the scenery from a classic steam train carriage at Blaenau Ffestiniog Railway with 40-miles of railway to travel over. Find a wonderful retreat in Harlech at Glyn Morfa.
