This is by far the worst holiday that we have ever had.. On arrival we found the toilet was blocked. We tried to contact the owners and they apologised but said that they had gone away for the weekend and there wasn't anything they could do,
There was no toilet brush supplied so I had to search round and found a mop, I was able to clear the blockage, but the system was taking approx twenty minutes to fill between flushes.
I mentioned this to the owners late afternoon on Sunday, they assured me that a plumber would be out first thing Monday.
We had to wait until Thursday before the toilet was fixed.
There was hardly any communication from the owners, I felt that I had to do all of the chasing.
This is by far the worst cottage that we have stayed in and couldn't get home quick enough.
We have stayed in a number of cottages, we have never experienced anything like this before. It is by far the most disappointing one of all.
I am sorry to leave such a negative review but this is how I feel.
We feel that the owners could have done more than they did.
I hope this review is of some help to you.
Kind regards
Mick Hopperton

Had a fantastic time staying at Garreg Wen Isaf Bach.. Denise and Gareth were very welcoming and friendly yet unintrusive. The cottage itself was excellent and was far more than I could have wished for. It's very well equipped and the views on a fine day are stunning.
On arrival from Leeds there were some sachets of coffee, a two pinter of milk and some delicious Welsh cakes. Not only was this a thoughtful touch but also a Godsend after my journey. Thanks again for those x.
Garreg Wen Isaf Bach is directley off the A487 main road so there can be traffic noise at certain times but as I'm from one of outlying villages of Leeds it was nothing more than I'm used too. The bonus to this means that you are in the ideal location for most of the places you'll visit.
Am planning a walking holiday of North Wales either next year or the year after and Garreg Wen Isaf Bach will be my first and only choice.
Thanks again to Denise and Gareth for a truely wonderful time.

Very nice cottage, and Denise and Gareth are wonderful hosts, be prepared to be greeted by 2 wonderful friendly dogs.. The only slight problem we found was that the staircase is a little tight, and mind your head upstairs in the bedroom,
as there are 2 beams running the length of the room. The kitchen is well equipped, and the bathroom also.

There is no infomation of what to do with the refuse, as wee were unsure about the recycling rules.. Each county has its own rules. There no bins for the cottage which we aware. Some information about the cottage would have been useful. Another but small niggle there was no breadknife as we like to have the fresh uncut bread. There was plenty of info to read about where to go which was nice. The owners were fantastic and such a lovely welcome. It really is a nice place to stay to visit places around nearby and not far to travel to them. It was a brilliant holiday as we love visiting Wales.
We look forward to visiting Wales again.

The cottage was beautifully presented, ideally located and so very peaceful.. The hosts truly made us feel welcome and could not do enough for us during our 14 day stay.
