Great place to stay with brilliant surroundings and views.. Had everything we needed and close to barmouth. I thought the beds were quite hard but my partner was happy with them (you cant please everyone). Will definately book again.

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful setting.. The house was very well equipped and to a very high standard. The owners have thought of everything you might need. The three little children in our family loved the playroom and playing games on the field. We would certainly return.

Breathtaking views, a beautiful cottage! Only 5miles from Barmouth Beach and had a wonderful bike ride up the estuary opposite the cottage. We had a very relaxing time

Gardd Ynys is a lovely cottage, in a great location the children & dogs loved the wooded areas around the cottage, the log burner was fantastic in the evenings, the views from the balcony were superb, our only negative is that the matteress were so hard on the beds that we found it very hard to sleep, we used every piece of spare bedding available and relocated to the pull out bed, but this was still uncomfortable, 3 of our party left the cottage with bad backs! If the mattresses were changed would would love to visit again because beside the sleeping arrangements, the cottage wants for nothing.

Lovely location.. Close to the town. The outside area near the garage would be perfect for a hot tub. Great bedroom space for extended families and two tv's was a definite bonus with kids.

A lovely week spent celebrating a family birthday at Gardd Ynys, a really well equipped property with fantastic views.. Great location for Barmouth and surrounding areas. Would definitely recommend this property. The only improvement I would suggest is the sofa bed in the games room. This is not very comfortable for adults as mattress was not very thick. Otherwise a great property, we were sad to leave.

Lovely property with outstanding views from the lounge, kitchen and double bedrooms.. Enjoyed watching the sheep and lambs in the field after family meals at the large kitchen table which can comfortably seat 10. The kitchen has been completely revamped with new units and a large American style fridge freezer so the pictures do not do it justice. It also includes an induction hob and oven but the Aga is still there if you fancy cooking on that. The sofa bed proved a bit tricky so may need renewing at some point. Plenty of new seating outdoors but sadly no hammock. Overall a great place to stay and would happily return.

Gardd Ynys has stunning views and a beautiful place to stay.. There are just a few issues which need to be rectified. The garden pond is not filled in ,as stated on your website,it has at least 6-12 inches of water in it ,and reeds which could be a hazard for toddlers. The garden has some amazing areas for exploring, but not well kept.Quite long grass in places with potential for picking up ticks, and a number of loose slates on pathways. The orchard which would be brilliant for games etc is full of chopped down brambles. A new sofa bed would be a good idea, and also a new Pool table. The current one is rather old. Cleaning in the main bedroom was not as thorough as it could be.My daughter in law actually took a photo of the dust she collected from the head board and picture frames. If the above issues were actioned Gardd Ynys would be just idyllic.

We had a lovely week at Gardd Ynys.. The kids and our dog loved the little woods and gardens for exploring. The views from the kitchen, lounge and bedrooms are amazing. We had everything we needed and, apart from needing a lock on the master bedroom door (it opens on its own!) we had no problems during our stay. It’s in a great location with lots to do locally, the care taker is very friendly and helpful, it’s very clean, with lots of things for children to play with! It gets a big thumbs up from us and, we would definitely stay again!!

Perfect property for more than one family, plenty of space for our winter holiday with all those boots and coats.. Log burner, Aga cooking, plenty of hot water - we had a lovely pre-Christmas break with friends and family.

The views from this cottage are absolutely outstanding, no photograph can do it justice.. The property is beautifully done, and the kitchen is extremely well equipped. The very kind owner allowed us to check in early and helped us later when us city folk struggled to use the AGA. A couple of downsides - the rope bannister made me anxious, especially with a toddler in our party, and it was very frayed. Also, the property could be cleaner, especially the kitchen which felt a bit grubby. That being said, it's a beautiful and wsll placed cottage and the view is just out of this world.

TV signal was very poor, not ideal for my 86 year old father who needs relaxing time.. Wouldn't have booked this house if we'd known this earlier. Garden was unkept which was a shame as it was obviously once quite lovely. House is well stocked with cutlery and crockery but kitchen is a bit tired. AGA provided a warm welcome. Bathrooms and bedrooms were clean and comfortable.

Gardd Ynys is a beautiful cottage in a stunning location.. The cottage was beautifully clean and well maintained. The owners provide everything required for a comfortable stay. We had a lovely time !! The decor and attention to detail was outstanding. There was only a couple of things that were negative. The garden is very overgrown and the bushes and trees block out a lot of sunlight from the terrace, which was a shame. There is a grape vine which will eventually start to destroy this beautiful house. The tv issue needs to be adressed as the signal constantly breaks up but this is a minor issue and did not spoil our stay in anyway.

Amazing house, felt at home as soon as we arrived, loved the layout of the house, the location was wonderful, everything was lovely and clean.. We will definitely be booking again for next year. My only slight niggle was the mattress in the master bedroom, it is so hard. But that's it, everything else was spot on. Thanks.

Firstly the good points: fine location, large garden, excellent views. Now the bad points: poor standard of kitchen cleanliness, grubby utensils, beds not made up as we were promised by the agents (Sykes), sundry kitchen fixtures in need of repair, filthy balcony furniture.....I could go on. Complaint made and photographic evidence of many shortcomings provided via the agent but the owner appears to think there was nothing wrong. It's a real shame that what could have been a great holiday in a lovely part of Wales was spoiled for us by many examples of a property in need of a good clean and general freshen up. I'm not saying don't go, I just hope all the issues we encountered have now been rectified.

The house was amazing, the pictures don't do it justice at all! It's in an amazing location for the beach and town of Barmouth, which is beautiful. If you just want a lazy day the house and garden is plenty big enough to just chill out around.

Gardd Ynys was an amazing property with stunning views. It was situated within a very intimate, secluded spot with a huge garden area for family fun. The house was large enough that we didn't really have enough time to use all of the rooms!. The location was conveniently placed to visit a number of attractions. We realised we would have to come back again to see everything the local area has to offer and we can't wait to do so!
