The Snowdonia National Park, Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula are all on your doorstep. Llanberis and Caernarfon, with their many and varied attractions, great walks and cycle routes, as well as fab places to eat and drink are within a 15-minute drive or less!

Area
Rhiwlas is a traditional Welsh village set on the foothills of the Snowdonia Mountain range with its own primary school and within easy access from the A55 Expressway, 4 miles from the city of Bangor with its University and with the famous town of Llanberis just 6 miles away. Llanberis offers excellent places to eat and drink, fabulous shopping, and is dominated by the grandeur of the Snowdon Massif. It is renowned as something of a 'mecca' for walkers and climbers, being the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon, the highest mountain in England and Wales. The ascent can be made either by the Snowdonia Mountain Railway, or on foot along one of the many routes to the summit. Just 7 miles from Llanberis, on the coast, is Caernarfon with its magnificent Castle and town walls and close by are National Trust properties at Penrhyn and Plas Newydd. With Anglesey and the entire North Wales coastline within easy reach, Rhiwlas is an excellent holiday location.

Mr Kendall
May 2019
The cottage is light and bright with lovely views across open countryside towards Anglesey and superb sunsets especially from the sunny patio.. On arrival the cottage was warm and inviting and there was a very generous welcome pack. Everywhere was scrupulously clean. It is well furnished and equipped and stylishly decorated and has a very pretty garden. This is a lovely place to stay - can't recommend it enough.

Location of cottage excellent to visit North Wales and Anglesey area.. Welcome tray was the best I've ever come across (Wine, cake, biscuits, dog treats, milk, tea, coffee...and more). Dog towels provided was a nice touch. Super clean and well furnished with some stylish pieces. Access to Amazon Fire Stick was an unexpected bonus although occasionally the internet speeds weren't sufficient to support this at the same time as supporting our own devices. Loved the views and garden area. Well fitted kitchen and super shower. Thanks for everything. Will definitely be recommending to friends.
