Better quality pillows are needed.. The existing pillows are very flat and uncomfortable.

A delightful cottage in a perfect location for exploring North Wales.. The low deposit meant that we could make a decision early about booking our second holiday here. The cottage was beautifully clean and had all the facilities we needed.

One of the best cottages we have stayed in.. Everything from the kitchen knives to the shower was of a high standard, clean and worked. The sofas were really comfortable and we were super warm in January. We chose it partly for bike storage and this was really useful for us.

Fantastic cottage, the only negative we may have is the freezer could be bigger.. We took a large amount of frozen party food for new year but we could not put it in the freezer as it was tiny. We had to throw it away before new year.;

The furnishings and furniture throughout the cottage are all of a high standard and definitely not cheap flat-packed furniture.. The kitchen looks brand new and comes with a dishwasher, which gives confidence that the cutlery and plates etc. used by previous tenants, will be clean. The cottage has clearly had a lot of money spent on it and that is shown in features such as the central heating system. The bathroom has a fantastic digital shower (walk-in) with rain and handheld shower options. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms with good quality bedding and furniture. The towels provided were soft and ‘bath’ sized. Again, something simple such as the softness of the towels is reflective of the attention to detail, that the owners: Gary and Lisa, provide. In the master bedroom is an en suite toilet and sink. I’ve not used the log-burner, in the lounge, yet, but I will. The location in Dolgellau is perfect with a very short walk to local pubs and restaurants for eating. We eat at The Ship Inn a couple of times – their Sunday roast was superb and very good value. The cottage has lots of brochures and guides on the local area. One of them contains 20 walks around Dolgellau – we did walk no. 15 today. Outside the cottage is a large decking area with stone BBQ. Not really the weather to properly use it in late October, but in Summer, it would be a great area to sit out and enjoy a summer evening. I love the size of the cottage. It’s in a narrow street with lots of other similar stone and slate cottages. Absolutely gorgeous. A perfect and relaxing break. I would absolutely book Bro Dawel again.

I’m currently staying at Bro Dawel for a long weekend at the end of October; and what a fantastic cottage it is! Check in time was after 16:00. When my wife and I got to the Bro Dawel, we opened the front door to a toasty warm and very welcoming cottage. I’m currently sat in the lounge on a Sunday afternoon, writing my review, on a comfy corner sofa. The furnishings and furniture throughout the cottage are all of a high standard and definitely not cheap flat-packed furniture. The kitchen looks brand new and comes with a dishwasher, which gives confidence that the cutlery and plates etc. used by previous tenants, will be clean. Bro Dawel far exceeded our expectations in terms of size, comfort and coziness.. The cottage is gorgeously decorated and furnished to a lovely standard. There were some lovely touches like the nice bedding and huge fluffy towels and the cottage kitchen was well equipped. The owner contacted us just before with some recommendations of places in Dolgellau and surrounding areas and they were all excellent. The cottage is perfectly placed for walking into town within minutes and there are so many things to do locally - we especially enjoyed Barmouth beach, Cregennan lakes, Cader idris and the Precipice Walk.

Bro Dawel is a fantastic cottage, ideal for a couple or family. We stayed for a week with our border collie and the cottage was so clean, cosy, a good size and really well equipped. We loved the location - perfect for town and for local walks and attractions. The cottage worked really well for us and we really liked the little touches like the incredibly comfy bed, huge fluffy towels, all matching crockery and Emma Bridgewater bedding. The owner Gary emailed us a few weeks before with some recommendations which were perfect and was able to suggest somewhere special for our anniversary dinner. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and will be recommending to friends and family.

Really enjoyed a relaxing week.. Cottage is modern pity that the garden is a little overgrown but as the weather was not that warm we only sat out one afternoon. Dolgellau is a great base with many pubs and restaurants that are dog friendly and friendly locals.

A great rental.. Well furnished and equipped. Comfortable bed,great shower great Tv. Only2/3 minuteswalk to the centre of Dolgellau so don’t really need a car. Parking is very tight but we survived with no problem during our 4 night break. Nice little patio at the rear of the cottage with table and chairs just right for a glass of wine in the evening. I would rent again.

The cottage felt like home as soon as we walked in the door, everything was comfortable and clean , it is just a small thing but all the crockery matched and everything looked as if somebody had taken a lot of thought when furnishing the cottage, a lovely place to stay we will definitly hope to stay again ..

Very comfortable cottage right in the heart of the lovely town of Dolgellau with everything you would want for a stay.. Great walks and cycle routes from the door. My wife and I, along with our dog, had an excellent week-long stay at Bro Dawel, We enjoyed our stay so much that it was hard to leave when our vacation was coming to an end.. Dolgellau is a lovely little town that is full of charm and the people there are extremely friendly. Everything is within walking distance, including groceries and a number of eating/coffee establishments, some of which are also dog friendly. We will definitely be going back and highly recommend Bro Dawel.

February 2018
The cottage provided a really lovely, comfortable base for our holiday.. The log burner was a fantastic feature and there was plenty of wood supplied. Everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The hosts provided ample information both before and during our stay. Dolgellau was a great location with cosy pubs and restaurants, the tapas was a great recomendation. The only way this lovely cottage could be improved is by adding a mini welcome pack with tea, coffee and sugar to get your holiday started. We would love to stay again.

November 2017
Very comfortable cottage in a good location for the town centre.. Excellent condition and very clean - felt like home from home. Parking could be an issue in busy times but we found a space opposite cottage every day so not an issue for us. Garden could do with a tidy up but apart from that a lovely cottage.
Mrs Parry

The cottage was fabulous, lovely, clean and cosy with up to date facilities with everything you would possibly want or need.. A great location for getting out and about and Dolgellau has many lovely places to eat and drink. All in all, even though we travelled on possibly the wettest weekend of the year, we had a really relaxing break and a great time. Will definitely book again!
