Area
This charming seaside town is located only 5 miles from Porthmadog and is often referred to as the "Pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia." The town's castle, built in the 13th century and perched on a rocky outcrop, dominates the landscape and provides breathtaking views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia Mountains. The two beaches are great for water sports, and those who enjoy hiking or biking will appreciate being so close to the stunning Snowdonia National Park. Take a walk on the beach and spot some porpoises in the water, or unwind in one of the town's many pubs, restaurants, or tea rooms while enjoying a scoop of Cadwalader's ice cream. The beautiful beaches and world-famous golf courses of the Llyn Peninsula, as well as other nearby attractions like the Italianate gardens of Portmeirion and the Ffestiniog railway in nearby Porthmadog, are all within easy driving distance.
