We had the best stay at Greystones Chapel with our family of 8. We found the Chapel to be really homely, inviting and clean. The space is really impressive with the high vaulted ceilings and views across to the start of Snowdonia national park. There is a huge TV, plenty of books, pool table, board games and a music system with speakers right round the top floor so plenty to stay entertained! The hosts were really attentive and polite. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and are already looking at dates for next year!

We stayed at Greystones Chapel as a family of 7 at the end of January and we had a fantastic stay. The chapel itself is just breathtaking, it is beautifully designed with a well equipped kitchen and lovely, cosy seating areas. The views of snowdonia are amazing from the upstairs living area. Everywhere was thoroughly clean so I really don't understand the previous reviews on cleanliness as we found it to be spotless. The beds were all very comfy, we slept very well here. The children loved the pool table and we were spoilt for choice when picking a book to read from the large bookcase/library. The chapel itself is in a quiet area, which makes for a peaceful and enjoyable stay. There are so many things to do in the surrounding areas if you are wanting to explore, there really is something for everyone. Overall I couldn't find a single fault with our stay. We all had a fantastic time and would love to return in the future. I would definitely recommend this property if you are thinking about booking then go for it, you won't be disappointed.

We were looking forward to our stay at Greystones Chapel after seeing the lovely pictures of it. The Chapel itself is a lovely building and very quirky, but unfortunately it lacked cleanliness and there were multiple issues with this property. There were a lot stains and dog hairs on the sofa and cushions and had a nasty smell. Behind one of the beds on the floor it was filthy, full of dust and had stains on the headboard. On two of the doors the handles fell off. On a few occasions we had to shout to the others to let us out from the other side of the door! The first bathroom when you enter the property was smelly (don't think having bricks on the floor helped as it absorbs all sorts and smelt damp) The shower also was too hot, even on the coldest setting which was very uncomfortable. If you stay here make sure you wash all mugs plates, cutlery and baking trays!! We had bought some pizzas on the first night to cook in the oven, and the baking trays had not been washed at all and were full of grease. They had been used and just put back without being washed up. The cutlery tray was full of crumbs, so again we washed that out and put all the cutlery in the dishwasher before we used any of it. The window panes by the stairs were filthy and had not obviously been cleaned for a very long time. On one of the pockets in the pool table there was a kids ball stuffed down it quite far, which was hard to get out and couldn't be used until it was removed. Such a shame, because this is really a beautiful place to stay, it just needs to be thoroughly cleaned after every guest has stayed and needs some attention to the things that need fixing.

Unfortunately, due to COVID, most of our party had to self-isolate (i.e Follow official government guidance), the owner refused any request to move the booking (despite our suggestions of moving to an alternative off-peak date) or consider any alternative. We would have been more than willing to pay an additional fee to compensate for the situation but the owner wouldn’t even open dialogue with us – What a farce! Given the current climate, a completely unreasonable stance – Would recommend you look elsewhere for more accommodating and considerate hosts.

The property is spacious, stunning and packed with interesting features. It has been sympathetically restored in a way that makes it warm and cosy whilst retaining the impressive chapel elements such as the enormous windows and vaulted ceiling. All the bedrooms are downstairs, and are well equipped with comfy beds. We all slept really well during our stay. There is also a large 'snug' downstairs with log burner and TV. Upstairs is the living space is huge and well laid out to provide the perfect space for entertaining. We stayed at Greystones with grandparents and teenagers and had a fab weekend. The pool table was a massive hit! The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked a couple of meals, but there's a wood fired pizza place 5 minutes walk from the chapel which was well worth a wander and definitely comes recommended. The chapel was well located for exploring this beautiful part of North Wales, nearby Llyn Padarn is only a few minutes drive and well worth a visit as is Llanberris. The chapel is well located for Mount Snowden if you're feeling active. We needed to contact the owner as we had a query about something when we first arrived - she responded quickly and was really helpful checking we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful weekend at Greystones and would definitely return

Stayed here with kids and friends in sep 2021. Really easy to find close to amenities including a park for the kids right next door. The chapel its self is absolutely stunning, clever design means the bedrooms are located round the ground floor with a breathtaking, social, open plan first floor with modern kitchen, pool table, library and cosy tv area. From the first floor you get stunning views of Snowdonia, the area is quiet and peaceful but with lots to find when you go exploring! Absolutely stunning conversion, can't wait to visit again soon!

This is a stunning property that has been sensitively converted to retain the charm of the chapel whilst creating a modern useable space. I found the details of chapel history along with the photos & details of renovation progress particularly interesting. The accommodation is spacious and well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The 4 bedrooms are all large with comfortable double beds. Upstairs is open plan sociable space. There is a lounge, games area with pool table, darts board, TV etc and a fully equipped kitchen & dining table. The chapel is well located to enjoy a number of local areas including Snowden. We walked around Llyn Padarn where there is also a water sports centre. Llanberis is only a few minutes drive for pubs and restaurants or for a wider choice Caernarfon is only 4-5 miles away. We had a great weekend and will definitely return.

Blown away at how unique this chapel is!! So much thought has gone into it. It’s really well equipped, the bedrooms are spacious & comfy. I love the upside down living - can make the most of the views upstairs. For such an old property, it heats up really quickly, so it’s perfect for a cosy winter break too. We had kids with us & they loved how quirky & fun it was. Definitely be booking for another time. So many places we didn’t get chance to visit.

I stayed here with friends and our children and we had the best time. The chapel is stunning. It has been so syumpathetically restored and retains so many period features, whilst also having all the mod cons we are now used to. The children loved the snooker table and playing hide and seek in the spacious rooms. The kitchen is so well equipped. I loved a long relaxing bath at the end of each day and the separate spaces meant the adults could chill whilst the kids had their own fun. The owner was really attentive when I needed to ask a question and couldn’t do anymore to help us. I will definitely be back to this little gem. The area is just perfect. We tried paddle boarding on Llyn Padarn and even tried open water swimming. We visited snowdon, Greenwood’s forest park and many other places. We cannot wait to come back next year.

Spent a few days in May at the most charming Greystones Chapel. The owner’s have paid great attention to detail when decorating and restoring this beautiful chapel. They have upcycled many of the original features such as the arched doorways and windows as well modernising it bringing it into the 21st century. It’s a stones throw away from Lyn Padrn Lake where the views are stunning and there are plenty of walks or lake activities going on. It really is incredible. ♥️

I stayed at the Chapel with friends recently and we were all blown away with how gorgeous it was inside and the high standard of finish. The beds were all super comfy and all the bedrooms are a good size. The living areas upstairs are fab - big open dining spaces, pool room and cosy living room. Downstairs there's a cosy snug area with a log burners and tall windows overlooking the patio. This chapel is ideal for families or friend groups looking to stay, its really handy for a number of local spots (15 min drive to Llanberis or 28 mins to Beddgelert) in the Snowdonia national park. Another great local walk is the Llyn Padarn lake walk which is so near and has amazing views. I would absolutely recommend the chapel to anyone; its spotless, really feels homely and the communication from the owners was brilliant. Thanks for having us.

We were very happy with our stay at The Greystone Chapel. Location wise, it’s a few minutes drive to Llanberis where you can enjoy beautiful views of the lake. A little bit further and you are at the foot of Snowdon’s Llanberis path. The Chapel’s decor, facilities and location were just right for our party’s needs. The building itself is amazing and quite unique and fun to stay in. However, there were a few minor teething points, probably because it’s a newly built property and a listed building. But these small points didn’t interfere with our otherwise perfect and very enjoyable stay.
