  • "Absolutely terrible service from Sykes cottages."

We stayed in the house last year and wanted to come again this year. The house is lovely, my issue is not about that, but with Sykes cottages. I repeatedly tried to ask if I could amend the dates from 15-19th to 13th-17th as my husband had to work. The two dates I needed were showing as available. This started on 3rd February. I made repeated email requests and requests through the online portal. I have copies of it all. I was given no clear answer, went around in circles with what looks a lot like AI generated replies. I phoned (3 times, starting 6th February) and was told my request had been sent to the owner, which was clearly not true as I had no reply. I sent a complaint - nothing. So upset by the whole process. Sykes are either incompetent or careless, one or the other. It was a simple 5 minute job. Never again, it ruined the trip.

It is light and airy inside, with a wood burning stove for those snug evenings and a rear garden where you can al fresco dine.

Angorfa is just moments away from the beach, has amenities close-by and offers private parking for two cars.

Enter into the spacious hallway, where to your left there is a sitting room with a fashionable rug, sofas, an armchair and a Smart TV for some downtime.

The shaker-style kitchen hosts everything you need for a self-catered stay with an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, and dining seating to savour mealtimes together.

Patio doors lead out to the large garden; here you can unwind with a glass of wine on balmy evenings and admire the sea-air.

As the night draws in, retie inside, and choose between three bedrooms, all with a dash of blue, with a king-size and a twin on the ground-floor and a king-size with an en-suite on the first floor.

All bedrooms offer furniture to house your belongings and Smart TVs for a movie night beneath the covers.

A short stroll will lead you to the centre of Aberdaron, where you can dine out at a beachfront eatery, stock up on the essentials from the village store and explore the quiet, sandy beach of Traeth Aberdaron.

Another beautiful place to relax can be found in the fishing village of Abersoch, well-known for its clear blue skies, lovely beaches, and stunning coastal scenery.

Visit the market town of Pwllheli, an ideal base place for water sports enthusiasts and sunbathers with its sweeping beach, as well as a great selection of restaurants.

For a much-needed coastal break, secure a stay at Angorfa.
