My partner and I stayed at Bryn Offa cottage during Easter weekend. The hosts Helen and Terry gave us a warm welcome, and it was lovely to arrive to fresh flowers, cake, chocolates and tea and coffee. There was a thoughtful Easter card as well. There was already milk in the fridge and ice in the freezer which we found useful. No need to rush off to the shop straight away, though Lidl and Tesco were just conveniently a short walk away.
The cottage was immaculately clean and nicely decorated. All mod cons provided should you need them: washing machine, iron and ironing board.
The garden was beautiful and spacious and it was a lovely place to relax listening to the birdsong. We did have a private patio but we were welcome to sit in any part of the garden we liked. Helen kindly gave us keys to the summerhouse at night when it was cold.
We found Helen and Terry to be kind without being imposing. We got guidance on local attractions, walking routes and recommendations on places to eat. The selection of leaflets in the cottage was also helpful.
We had a lovely stay and we both recommend this cottage for a relaxing break. Great location for the local attractions and others just a short drive away.

I visited here for a week and just returned. I was working remotely whilst my mam was here having a break. The hosts Helen and Terry went above and beyond for us. Anything you could thing you need. Don’t worry it’s there from washing liquid, to toiletries and my fav a hot water bottle :) there was nothing I needed at all.
Everything in the cottage was so comforting both my Mam and I felt it was home from home. The gardens are beautiful and so lovely to hear the birds whilst I was working away.
Would recommend this beautiful hideaway to anyone

We have just returned home from spending a week at Bryn Offa Cottage in Holywell North Wales. Cant fault the cottage. Cottage is in lovely gardens and photos on site do not do justice to the look of the cottage outside. Inside cottage is homely and well equipped for all your needs. A welcoming gift of a home made cake chocolates milk tea and coffee were provided by the lovely caring couple Helen and Terry who will help you with any enquiries on places to visit. They are perfect hosts. Hoywell town is like most places a lot of shops closing but you still have lots of eating places .We would have loved to try the Jamaican restaurant in Holywell. Within walking distance you have lidl and tesco . a week was not long enough for us to visit more nearby attractions. We visited a enormous material unit where you can buy upholstery or dressmaking material. Misty waters for a lovely carvery. A couple of national trust venues all within 30 mins from the cottage. Visited rhyl and had a meal at the harbour.
There are plenty of places to visit. After visits it was great to go back to the cottage to relax in the beautiful gardens around the cottage. My husband and i enjoyed it so much going to book again next year.
