The town is renowned as the "Walkers are Welcome Village" because of its many paths ideal for strolling. The village contains restaurants, bars, and stores, and the surrounding area is ideal for those who want to get out and explore on foot, bike, or horseback. The Riverside Chocolate House, located in Pentrefoelas, is an absolute must for any and all chocoholics. Betws-y-Coed is close by, and it's where you'll find the Snowdonia National Park Visitor Center and the beginning of the scenic Conwy Valley, which winds its way to Llandudno and Conwy on the coast.
