  • "If like us you are looking for a comfortable peaceful and stress free break this is the place."

We have been fortunate to have stayed in a great number of cottages and lodges in wales and England and this has got to be in the top two for us. It was a stress free chilled out week in what seemed like the middle of nowhere. Even Fred our dog slowed down and chilled out the whole of the week. Facilities at property were all that we could have asked for. Fantastic views out the back. We must have spent days just looking out there in awe. Definately going to be a regular bolt hole in the countryside for us and our Fred. Pure bliss. Top marks to the owner who left a lovely cake, flowers and milk for us in our arrival.

About the location

LLANSANNAN

Denbigh 8 miles; Abergele 8.5 miles; Conwy 16 miles.

The pretty rural Welsh village of Llansannan lies equidistant between Denbigh, Llanwrst and Abergele, and offers a local general store, Post Office and friendly village pub. LLansannan is nestled on the banks of the River Aled, just 8 miles from the North Wales coast, with Colwyn Bay and Llandudno easily accessible. The town of Denbigh is 8 miles to the east and dates back to the 11th century, boasting the remains of a 13th century castle, perched atop a steep hill above the town and commanding some superb views over the surrounding countryside. A busy little town, Denbigh provides a variety of shops and pubs, and a number of events including walking festivals, beer festivals, the Denbigh and Flint Annual Show, the ClayArt Potters Market and a monthly People's Market. Within easy reach of Denbigh are the cathedral at St Asaph, the castle at Bodelwyddan, the seaside resorts of Llandudno or Colwyn Bay, and the historic city of Chester, over the border into England. The Snowdonia National Park is a short drive, with its stunning lakes, mountains, walking and cycling, while the Lleyn Peninsula and excellent beaches on the Isle of Anglesey are ideal for a day trip. There is plenty to see and do from Llansannan at any time of the year!
