Beautiful romantic cottage with lodge burner and sea views, what more could you ask for more! The owners are lovely, and easy to contact. Loved the little touches of milk, tea, coffee, sugar, Welsh cakes and dog biscuits, so it was lovely to have a brew after driving up. Two pubs in walking distant, would really recommend the queens head pub for food which is about 5 mins drive away. I would really recommend this place and will book again in the future! Thank you

Positives - The cottages has lovely views, the owner Robin was very friendly and shared lots of information on places to visit around North Wales. Avery nice gesture on arrival - cake and dog biscuits. Kitchen and Bathroom very clean, bedroom spacious. Negatives - Driving to the cottage is not for the faint hearted - its very steep and narrow and not easy to get to. If you didn't want to attempt the single track approach you were told there is plenty of parking in the village including on the village hall - this was not the case the little streets had cars parked all the way up and the village car park was tiny and full Lounge too small for the furniture, tired and outdated the room was cold and not big enough for two medium sized dogs. When we booked the cottage - we searched for a cottage near dog friendly beaches with a local pub within walking distance - our intention to spend the day site seeing, walking the dogs on the beach returning to the cottage around 5ish to get showered to walk to the pub for a few drinks and a meal. All beaches are lovely and within driving distance (not walking) which is not good when you return and there is no where to park, there are two pubs within walking distance neither serve food and both lack atmosphere - if you want an evening meal (other than cook it yourself) you have to drive. No shop or facilities within walking distance. Nothing to do in the evening other than sit in the cottage unless you drive (and then you face the parking issue on return).

just returned from a week away, celebrating our wedding anniversary. beautiful cottage tucked away in penrhynside. great facilities, parked in village hall, short walk to cottage no problem. cottage has everything you need, clean, cosy and lovely and warm. lovely little patio garden, safe for dogs. 2 dog friendly pubs close by. beautiful walks on your doorstep which our lurcher thoroughly enjoyed. llandudno was within walking distance. short distance to little orme with chance to see the seals. fantastic time, already booked to come back just need to stay longer as there is so much to see and do. thanks robin and fiona for a great stay.

This was the perfect retreat for my wife and me. Although the cottage is in a tightly packed narrow street, it is peaceful and feels very private, with wonderful views. The little patio at the front is strategically hedged off from others, but with clear views across the countryside and sea as one sits at the garden table. The cottage itself is of genuine historical interest, but is thoroughly modern in its facilities. It is clean, and thoughtfully decorated and equipped, with a very comfortable bed. We were able to truly relax and returned home refreshed.

The cottage is beautiful and so well-equipped with safe and secure parking. The owner was excellent, they were very helpful and welcoming. We will definitely return next year.

The cottage was cosy and the log burner gave the cottage a lovely feel. The bed was super comfortable and we enjoyed really good nights sleep whilst we were there.

The cottage had loads of character and was very cosy for a winter break. There was a wood burner with plenty of wood provided. We were given a very friendly welcome by the owner.

The cottage was everything I had hoped for and more. The hosts were lovely people and the position was great. Wish I could have stayed longer. There was so much to see and do in the area.

The bedroom was even better than the picture of it. Had really nice owners and a very good and helpful information book, so we knew what was in the area. With having a washing machine etc it was like being in your own home.

This is a beautiful cottage with a fantastic view overlooking the sea. Wonderful.

Right from the start we were well looked after by the owners who met us to take us the last 300 yards to the cottage, which is up a hill and narrow lane and then helped us unload our car. We were then given a quick introduction to the what was in the cottage. We later found some milk and two slices of bara bree( cant spell) . The pictures didn't do justice to the bedroom which had a lovely super king size bed and didn't make the room feel small. The lounge area has a small table and chairs , a double settee and single chair which were comfortable for us, a tv with built in dvd player and even some dvd's there for us . The shower / bathroom is small but perfectly fine. The kitchen had all you need to cook your meals for two people. There are plenty of cups, glasses, pots, pans etc .We cooked most nights in it with no problems. The weather wasn't great so we were glad of the lovely central heating, which we could put on longer if needed. We didn't use the log burner. The tables and chairs outside were fine for a coffee with great views. Another nice touch was the book with plenty of information about the local area,such as good places to eat and visit. We used the local pub which was really good with great real ale but doesn't do food, the up side was we talked with the locals who were there with their dogs.This holiday felt like staying in a friends annex rather than a holiday let. Perfect for 2 people and a small dog. The owners are lovely, discreet but there if needed. A wonderful location as well.

The views were stunning, an excellent place to relax in. The owner was extremely helpful when we arrived, really enjoyed our stay in the cottage.

The cottage is well equipped for two people and beautifully decorated. The large bed was very comfortable and the wardrobe and dressing table lovely pieces of furniture. The central heating kept the cottage warm for our stay so we did not need to use the wood burner, which I can imagine is lovely on a cold winter night. The shower was super and the kitchen had all we needed. The views from the cottage were superb and there are lovely walks in the area. We had a super holiday and would definitely recommend this cottage.

Craiglwyd is a a very comfortable cottage, in a beautiful location overlooking Llanduddno. Owner is very helpful and welcoming.

It was a lovely relaxing hideaway and the views were beautiful. Very cosy and homely. We loved every minute of it and would recommend it.

The cottage was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The homey feel of the cottage allowed us to relax and enjoy the area.

The cottage is very pretty and everything a historic cottage should be. But the access to this cottage is extremely steep and not for most older people. Robin, the owner was very helpful on the first day. Unfortunately the weather for the first half of the week was very cold, wet and windy and we needed the woodburner. We were surprised to find out that wood was only suplied for the 1st day and that after that the guest book suggested that B&Q or a local builders merchant would be the place to go and buy some logs. Well, this was Sunday so we tried B&Q and they didn't have logs - so eventually we found the Home Bargains in Llandudno had them. It took about a sack a day to keep the fire going. It is the first of many holiday cottages we have rented that asked us to supply our own fuel. The cottage is very pretty and the views from the kitchen are excellent and inside it is clean and well equipped. The super king-sized bed was clean and warm in a very pretty bedroom. The lounge has a small 'cottage' settee and one chair which we found small and somewhat uncomfortable. A nice big settee would have been very welcome. My husband had backache throughout from sitting on the settee to read, which made driving difficult for him. When the weather finally cleared we could have our coffee on the patio - but again the iron patio chairs and table were tiny and not at all comfortable. The patio was not secure for our two small dogs and in the end we gave it up. All in all - a delightfully pretty cottage but with several things that let it down and made the holiday a bit disappointing.

The cottage we stayed in was just perfect for our holiday. We were made to feel extremely welcome and were given lots of useful information on arrival. We particularly enjoyed the fantastic walks in the area and the variety which this area provided - woodland, open fields, beaches, rivers. Wonderful! We had a really great holiday and would definitely recommend this cottage to others! Thank you!

The cottage was very clean and comfortable for us and our 2 dogs. The owners were kind enough to leave out some Bara Brith which was a nice touch for when we arrived. The views were beautiful from the cottage. I would definitely recommend staying at Craiglwyd Bach for a holiday. Llandudno is very pretty and we enjoyed some lovely trips nearby and Mount Snowdon wasn't too far either.

Where to start?? This cottage is absolutely brilliant. We arrived early, but Robin ushered us in and showed us around, regardless. The place is clean and neat, and it feels very spacious for its size. The kitchen is well equipped; they even supply tea and coffee (AND a couple of gravy treats for the dog!!). The decor is exactly what you'd want: country cottage, antique furniture, solid floors, etc. The high ceilings and exposed beams are beautiful. The extra touches which Robin and Fiona supplied are really what made our stay special: they have left torches in strategic places for a midnight foray, and they were happy to bring us extra wood for the log burner. They even left two slices of bara brith and some butter for us to have when we first arrived, and it was the nicest bara brith I've had in a long time!! The village has a couple of lovely pubs (we went to watch the rugby in a pleasing sea of red) with real ales and friendly locals. The proximity to Llandudno is great, but the views are even better. Getting up the single lane track was a little bit scary for us city folk the first time, especially when meeting a 4x4 coming the other way, but it wasn't difficult to access once we'd go used to it. One thing to bear in mind is that the cottage is a bit cold. It's a stone building which has been around for over 200 years, so that goes without saying. It's not a problem though, just make sure you bring slippers and light the fire early so that it's got time to heat the space. The central heating also works really well, and Robin encouraged us to put it on as much as we needed. I was worried I might be cold getting out of the shower, but it wasn't a problem at all with the radiators blasting out plenty of heat. The bed is really warm and comfortable, too. If you're not a dog owner, this would still be a great cottage to visit - there's no evidence of dogs there at all - but if you are a dog owner, I couldn't think of anywhere better to stay as a base for going walking and playing about on the beach. You can easily walk to the beach from the cottage. Our pooch loved sitting in front of the fire after an afternoon of chasing pebbles and playing chicken with the waves! There's also a great collection of DVDs and books in the cottage, to while away a few hours if the weather's bad. Alternatively, you could just do what we did and spend hours staring at the fire! All in all, highly recommended, and we can't wait to go back!

We have never stayed in a cottage before, but this exceeded our expectations in every way. The views were fantastic. The owner and the local people were very friendly and helpful. Even the weather was good. We could not have wished for a better week.

We had such a relaxing holiday, everything was wonderful. The cottage was beautiful, and the surrounding area was idyllic. The owner made us feel so welcome. I highly recommend this cottage to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday in Wales. I will definitely be returning.

Excellent, very clean, cosy cottage. The cleanest and most well equipped we have ever stayed in. Owner was very pleasant and helpful. Lots to see and do. Dog friendly pub next door to the Tramway, The Kings Arms, very good, and welcoming.

It felt more like a home than a rental place. The large bed was very comfortable. It was a lovely place to come back to after sight seeing, or to stay in.

Excellent cottage for a couple who like a rural setting. This is a small country cottage sited in a very narrow road in a small Welsh hillside village. Its furnishing reflects its size and quaintness. We loved the peace and quite, yet it was in a short walk or drive to the major resorts of Llandudno, Penrhyn Bay or Rhos-on-Sea. Anglesey, Conwy and Colwyn Bay also can easily be reached.

We loved the place and especially the views from the cottage. We had a lovely time and would definitely go back there if we visited North Wales again. It was lovely to go back to the cottage at the end of the day and sit and look at the views. The dogs really enjoyed the holiday and the walks on the hills and the West Shore beach. Robyn pointed us in the right direction for everything and helped us to make this holiday a memorable one!

This little cottage is a real gem and is situated in a lovely elevated position with views out to the sea. Inside it feels more like you are being invited to share someone's private home rather than a holiday cottage because it is so well kept and cosy. The whole cottage is very comfortable but the huge bed deserves special mention for comfort. All facilities are provided, the only exception being a hair dryer. The location is excellent for exploring the whole of northwest Wales. As others have mentioned the access road is rather narrow and steep but there is very little traffic so we had no problem even with a larger car, and on most nights we were able to park at the village hall which is only a few minutes away on foot. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week here and would recommend Craiglwyd Bach to anyone.

The owner was very friendly and very helpful- he came into the village to guide us to the cottage and gave us a guided tour of the surrounding area. The views from the cottage were fabulous.

The cottage is situated in the village of Penrhynside, it is up a steep hill as explained in the cottage description, but the helpful owner Robin met us in the Village Hall car park and showed us the way. The cottage is in an ideal location for local walks and also for visiting other areas of interest in North Wales. Robin advised on local walks and amenities, although the two village pubs do not serve food there are eating places nearby. The kitchen in the cottage is well equipped if cooking your own meals, the lounge is very cosy especially with the fire lit and the bedroom has a large and comfortable bed (best we have ever slept in on a holiday and hard to leave). We found the local people and the landlords of the two village pubs friendly, and the Cross Keys pub especially is very cheap for drinks. We will definitely be visiting again.

I booked Craiglwyd Bach for a week to do some focused reading and writing. I needed basic comfort, shops within walking distance (the climb back up the hill got the heart going) and most importantly, peace and quiet. This was perfect. Mr Holden even met me at the station and brought me to the cottage, was on call thereafter (not needed) and then respected his guest's need for uninterrupted space. Sitting each morning at the breakfast bar looking out over the coast was a calming start to the day. The decor is a touch on the knick-knack side and there are a few draughts, but those are easily blocked and I was able to get snug in the living room and get my writing done. Modern kitchen and all the amenities needed. Will be returning at least twice again this year, a lovely location and property.

the cottage was very good ,but the very steep road and poor parking, is not suitable for older couples.

It was love at first sight, the cottage was just right and the views were just what the doctor ordered. It was cosy and warm with the log fire up and running. Every one was friendly and the landlord and landlady at the local pub (The Cross Keys) made us welcome. To top it all off the beer was £1.00 cheaper than my local. The owner of the cottage was very helpful in making our stay a very enjoyable one.

There were wonderful views from the cottage. It was in a quiet location but was within easy reach of Llandudno town by car.

The views from the cottage are very good. It has a super kingsize bed which is nice and no doubt local walks are good but we didn't do them as the weather turned very wet.

The access to this cottage is extremely steep and not for the faint-hearted. The owner came to meet us and tell us where to park and said he would be back to let us know about the local walks, however we didn't see him again, but in the event it turned too wet to go walking any distance. From the outside the cottage is pretty and the views are excellent and inside it is clean and well equipped. The super king-sized bed was clean and warm and the shower very efficient, although the bathroom is quite small and there wasn't much room for anything other than soap and towels. During the week the temperature dropped to single figures and it was cold and wet so it would have been nice to be warm in the little lounge, however the radiator in there was almost cold and the wood burner was very messy and occasionally thick black smoke puthered into the room giving us headache. The settee and chair whilst looking very nice and matching the curtains proved uncomfortable when sitting for any length of time. The Co-oP store in Penrhyn Bay was invaluable and the Beefeater restaurant on the road to Llandudno was excellent, as was the superb theatre on Llandudno's front.

Craiglwyd Bach was a very quaint and comfortable cottage with good facilities. The owners living next door were very welcoming and helpful. The views from the cottage were great in the good weather and also at night. The only down side to the location we felt was the very steep and narrow approach road,and the lack of level parking. You certainly would not want to take a large car, as the final bend in the approach is between two stone walls.We are in our sixties and maybe younger couples would cope with it, but we did not feel that the description of the cottage and the location described it quite accuratley.

The owners were very kind, helpful and willing to give time to make our stay memorable for all the right reasons. If you would like a holiday that ticks all the right boxes go visit them.

The location of the cottage was fine, with easy access into LLandudno and the road network for North Wales - we got around easily.

We loved the cosy cottage with its charm and character. It was perfect to come back to after a day of walking and sightseeing. The owners were lovely and seemed to have thought of everything, including some welcome treats for us and our two dogs.

A lovely area with plenty to see and do. There are good dog friendly beaches nearby in Llandudno and two dog friendly pubs in the village just a few minutes walk from property. The friendly owners met us in the village and took us to the property. There was a lovely welcoming tray with cake, drinks and even chews for the dog.
