Sustonica, the first global sustainability standard for holiday lets.
Our aim is to create lasting holiday memories and we intend to do so both responsibly and sustainably.
To deliver on this we've set out a number of environmental and social pledges which help to focus our efforts;
you can read more about them in our Impact Report.
This is why we've partnered with Sustonica, the first global certification for holiday lets,
to support our owners to be more sustainable.
The Sustonica certification focuses on four key areas: energy conservation, water conservation,
waste reduction and promoting inclusiveness. They are on a mission to become the most widely
recognised sustainability standard for holiday rentals and a catalyst to reduce emissions of holiday
lets and influence guests to reduce their own household consumption too.
Properties that display the Sustonica badge have successfully passed the criteria,
which align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Global Sustainable Tourism Council standards,
and their owner has made a commitment to look after our planet as well as you.
The accommodation is fantastic. Hot tub was wonderful, the garden is beautiful. No complaints at all.
The only suggestion I would have would be to put a hand rail the other side of the staircase and one on the steps down to the bathroom.
Thanks for a lovely time!

"We as a family of 5 + a 3 yr old spent a delightful week at Penuwch Fach in July/August 2024."
We were attending an interment and celebration of life nearby so the location was perfect.
We were met by the owner and there was a welcome wine/biscuits plus tea and coffee. There is a Nespresso Gusto machine too plus a few pods :). The farmhouse had generous sized bedrooms and two living spaces as well as the very well equiped kitchen diner. There was a travel cot and high chair available too (bring your own bedding for the travel bed).
Outside there is a BBQ and seating area and a very large hot tub which was checked daily. My grandson loved the pebbles!! To the front there is additional seating, a picnic area and a sloped lawn.
I would highly recommend staying here.

"A wonderful place to stay!"
The house was a delight and so beautifully warm. We’ll definitely be back. The linen, fixtures and fittings were of very high quality.
Just one tiny gripe - we “oldies” could have done with some hand rails on the steps down into the bathrooms. A washing-up bowl for the sink would have been good.
Unfortunately we didn’t have a chance to use the hot tub.

"Had a loverly time at this property."
It was as advertised and well maintained. We found the main bedroom mattress a bit uncomfortable but all the other rooms were fine. And the 9am departure a bit of a rush in the morning. Most places I've stayed have been 10am. But this is stated in the booking .
But all in all a cracking place to stay.
Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay with us at Penuwch Fach. I’m sorry that you found the bed uncomfortable, We had new mattresses on order but unfortunately they have arrived after your stay. We appreciate that the 9am check out is early this was put in place during Covid however as things are getting back to normal we will be returning to our 10 am check out as of next month. I sincerely hope that you will come and visit us again.

"Had a wonderful stay at Penuwch Fach which is in a lovely rural and quiet location!"
It had beautiful valley views from the back garden and a great hot tub/spa in the front which was always checked every morning and the property itself was really clean.
Short drives of around 5 to 15 minutes from key locations like Aberystywth and Devils Bridge.
My only small recommendation would be nice to have some clothes hooks in the bathrooms but that is only a minor improvement.
Owners had great communication and always happy to help. Couldnt recommend it enough, excellent place to stay!

The farmhouse is in a beautiful rural location and whilst remote it is very well situated for visits to Aberystwyth, Devils Bridge, Mwnt Beach, New Quay and Cardigan, to be able to visit such beautiful countryside as well as quaint seaside resorts is an added bonus.
