Tucked among 40 acres of rolling hills, woodland and wildflower meadows this 17th-century cottage has been expertly restored and beautifully furnished to create a cosy home-from-home in the Pembrokeshire countryside. We loved the personal touches, particularly the reclaimed wood cupboards, crafted by Oli, your fantastic carpenter host. The bright kitchen is the heart and soul of the house – you’ll spend mornings at the breakfast bar, idly sipping coffee, and afternoons making something tasty for your loved ones. Enjoy light lunches outside at the bench or roll out a blanket and picnic by the pond. If it gets to be a little chilly out, head back inside to dine around the farmhouse-style table. Make yourself comfortable in the sitting room with a cup of tea and plan your afternoon itinerary. You’re a fifteen-minute drive from Llys-y-Frân, with its activity centre, bike trails and reservoir for open water swimming. Or stay local and take to the walking paths that lead directly from your front door – keep an eye out for Red kites as you wind your way through the valleys. From your abode, it’s a thirty-minute drive to the coast, and fifteen to the town of Narbeth but most importantly, it’s less than ten minutes to the pub.
