Catching our eye with its colourful living area and terrace, we think this flat in hip Pontcanna is perfect for two style-conscious couples. If alfresco dining is out of bounds due to drizzle, the breakfast bar can squeeze everyone around it for indoor meals. While the bedrooms are a little snug – the second requires one guest to climb over the bed to reach their side – they are cosy spots to rest after a day exploring Bute Park and Cardiff city centre (twenty-five minutes on foot or ten by bus). Closer to home, you'll find quaint eateries and cosy pubs just a short stroll away.
Home truths: *The bedrooms are quite small with limited storage space. However, they have everything you need for a comfortable night's sleep. Also, the bed in the second bedroom is against a wall on one side and at its foot. Guests will need to climb over the other side to reach it. *Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay. *There is no dining table here, although there are four stools around the kitchen's breakfast bar. *If you're travelling for work, you'll find a desk in one of the bedrooms. *There's free on-street parking nearby, but spaces can be limited.
