Time to polish off the ring and get down on one knee because this home has us head over heels. Only two hundred metres from the beach, this Hilton Head Island villa is a luxurious, private hideaway made for lazy summer days. Mornings start in the bedrooms, where floor to ceiling windows bring in lots of light, before toddling into the open-plan kitchen. There's a breakfast bar for quick eats, but we prefer big get-togethers on the dining table or on the patio outside. Days can be spent lounging by the curved swimming pool, where you can take a dip to cool off before padding back inside for a drink. When things get too warm, there are several hang-out spaces, including a bright and breezy lounge, thanks to its double height windows, and a reading nook with views over the pool. Should you want to explore further afield, it's a short drive or cycle to Harbour Town with its seafood restaurants, boutiques and bustling marina.
