Dark wooden roof beams frame the loft-style communal space, where you will find a chef standard kitchen with high spec utensils, a large dining table to gather around at mealtime, and a cosy sitting room for movie nights. Bauhaus furniture paired with hearth rugs and a reclaimed marble fireplace in the sunken living room make for an excellent space to relax together in. Whip up cocktails to enjoy on one of the porches – one is al fresco, the other screened and covered for cooler nights.

The house is located in Hemlock Farms, a stunning upscale lakeside community set in Lords Valley. While you stay, you have access to four private lakes, as well as three swimming pools if you don’t fancy wild swimming. In addition there are on-site tennis courts, as well as a fitness centre. There are plenty of hiking trails through the woods across the 4,500 acre estate. The Poconos are an hour's drive away, and Manhattan can be reached in less than two hours by car – though you may never want to leave your secluded paradise.
