This home once served as a farmhouse in the Long Island countryside, but today it provides a rustic escape just an hour away from the city. Originally built in 1815, you’ll see vestiges of its original features – multiple wood-burning fireplaces, grand staircases and herringbone brick floors give the home its traditional charm. Warm up in the hot tub outside, or jump in the pool on a hot day. We love the combined indoor-outdoor living area – the perfect place to gather around the fireplace at the end of the day. When you’re ready to venture out, the beaches of the Hamptons are close by, or take a scenic drive to reach the bustle of New York City.

*The swimming pool is only available for use between May and September.
*This home has only two bathrooms, so it might get a bit cramped at full occupancy.
*Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. There's parking available on the driveway.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
*You'll find expensive artwork and antiques in this home, so it might not be the best choice if you're travelling with young children.
