A heated saltwater pool surrounded by tropical palms is the heart of this Fort Lauderdale house – and with triple sliding glass doors connecting the living areas straight to the poolside patio, the line between indoors and out almost disappears. The outdoor kitchen and built-in barbecue make it easy to keep evenings poolside. When you do venture out, Fort Lauderdale Beach is an eleven-minute drive away, and Las Olas – the neighbourhood's main strip of restaurants and shops – is within walking distance.Home truths:
* If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a full-size cot, high chair, baby bath, baby monitor, and pool safety fencing. You'll need to request these in advance.
* Parking here is limited to three or four vehicles depending on size, and all cars must stay on the driveway – street parking is not permitted and vehicles parked outside the property will be towed by the city.
* The lead guest must be at least 25 years old.
