Los Loros is made for living outdoors. There are several terraces, split over different levels, with fantastic views, and the amount of greenery around keeps the whole place feeling private. When you’re out in the open air, you can hear the parrots chattering (and at night, you can even hear owls). The home dates back to the 30s, and is an excellent example of Spanish Revival architecture, but it’s been done up inside recently, with a mixture of furniture and objects from around the world. If you’re planning to explore LA (and let’s be honest, of course you are), it’s only a five-minute walk to Hollywood Boulevard and the Walk of Fame, while the rest of the city is in easy reach. Universal Studios and West Hollywood are both a short drive away, and even Santa Monica can be reached in half an hour.
Home truths: * There’s a laundry room that's usually available during longer stays, but is currently out of action due to COVID-19
* During a longer stay, your host can help arrange for a cleaner to help you maintain the house
* There’s a no-smoking policy indoors and outdoors, and the host takes it quite seriously
* There’s a parking spot for three cars, but any others will need to park on the street
*Bedroom four is a flex office space with sofa-bed
