Every available surface in the living area is covered with doodles by the Las Vegas-based artist Pretty Done and against this striking monochromatic background, the flashes of colour from the house plants, gold artworks and dime-shaped window shutters really pop out. The only place where your eyes get a short break is in the hotel-standard bathroom, which is comparatively sober with its grey and marble tiling. The outside of the building has also been given the street-art treatment with a huge mural covering one of the corners. For those staying here that somehow want even more modern art, both The Broad and the Museum of Contemporary Art are just a ten-minute drive away.
