With everything so close by, you can practically roll out of bed and into the heart of Scottsdale – shopping nirvana at Fashion Square and Kierland Commons, downtown Old Town and the Tournament Players Club, home of the Phoenix Open golfing tournament. The glorious green swathe of Chaparral Park, with its eponymous lake, is also within a few minutes’ walk. Fix yourself a strong espresso in the well-equipped kitchen before heading out to explore, or hang around the house for a day of poolside lounging and yard games. Should the weather turn – unlikely, as this is Arizona – there’s also a smart TV to stream anything you want.
