In the buzzing Cihangir neighbourhood, this swish apartment is ideal for business or leisure. The narrow, leafy streets around you are home to hole-in-the-wall restaurants serving Gözleme and Kunefe while trendy coffee shops spill out onto the pavements. You’ll find all the transport connections you need – tram, ferry and even funicular – at nearby Kabataş, and Taksim is right next door. Inside, it’s a classy space with mosaic tiles and glass walls. The kitchen is small but has all you need for self-catering. The real bonus is the private, plant-filled courtyard, perfect for Turkish tea and baklava outside.


Home truths:
*This is a basement flat, so there's not a lot of natural light. However, the private courtyard is a bonus in the city.
*There are a few steps down to reach the entrance, so this place may not be suitable for those with very limited mobility.
*Both bedrooms have sliding glass doors to let the light in and curtains for privacy.
*One well-behaved dog is welcome to accompany you during your stay. Let your host know beforehand to avoid a fee.
*There is no parking with this apartment, but it's in a very central, walkable area of Istanbul.
