This apartment is perfect for a small family in town to sightsee. After all, you'll find Puerta del Sol, the buzzing Gran Vía, and many more of Madrid's landmarks within walking distance – not to mention transport links and a slew of fabulous eateries. While the apartment isn't the most exciting in our collection, we love the wooden beams and Juliet balconies. Although there's nowhere to sit, they add a quintessentially-Spanish touch to the otherwise modern design. The bedrooms are connected with pocket doors, and earplugs are a must if you're a light sleeper – this is in the heart of the city, so street noise is a given.
Home truths: *The bedrooms are connected with sliding pocket doors, but there's still plenty of privacy. As the second bedroom has a trundle bed, we think this home is better for families with younger children. *The balconies are Juliet-style, so they’re very small with nowhere to sit. *If you're travelling for work, you'll find a dedicated desk in the second bedroom. *Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay. *Parking in Madrid can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to easily accessible public transport where possible. You likely won't need a car to get around.
