The terrace is the first thing that strikes you about Sail-Shade, so let’s not dwell on that. The living room is lovely, and the rest of the place is very comfortable, if not particularly ground-breaking. The atmosphere is almost like a hotel – you have both a twenty-four-hour reception, and a daily cleaning service – but that also goes the other way. The flat is missing some of the character that you’d expect if it were actually someone’s home.
Home truths: *Three of the bedrooms have two single beds, which can be pushed together if need be
*Gran Vía is a main road, so there'll be lots of people coming and going at all hours
*The shower in the en-suite to the third bedroom is only 190cm high – it's not a big deal but tall groups might notice it
*Three of the bedrooms face onto the interior of the building
