It’s also a great space to come together in the evenings for a few pre-dinner drinks as dusk settles across the city. When it’s time to experience some culture and meet the locals, you’re perfectly placed here. Set back from the city’s central tourist traps, you'll find a more authentic neighbourhood feel here, with traditional tapas bars and restaurants to keep you watered and fed. Or nip across to your well-heeled neighbours in the Retiro district (forty minutes on foot). Home to the celebrated Prado Museum (think masterpieces from Velázquez, Goya, and Zurbarán) –⁠ and the iconic El Retiro Park with its scenic lakes and open-air cafes –⁠ you could easily while away an afternoon here. Or hop on the metro station (five minutes away on foot) to unearth other corners of this enchanting city. Just think of the places you'll go.
