This two-bedroom apartment in the heart of Madrid's glamourous Salamanca neighbourhood is ideal for small groups of friends or families visiting Spain's cultural capital. With its comfortable wooden breakfast bar, unique decor and colourful paintings, the open-plan living room is filled with character. And that's before you've reached the two balconies, which make this pad tick all the boxes. When you're not sipping cocktails on the larger terrace or lounging on the sofa, the city's top sights are on your doorstep. El Retiro, Madrid's oldest park is a ten-minute walk from this apartment, while the Plaza Mayor is just a couple of metro stops away. Even closer to home, you'll find some great restaurants in the area. Traditionally-prepared paella, tasty tapas and fragrant sangria are all just moments from your front door.

Local guide
About Salamanca
Salamanca is Madrid’s most glamorous and prestigious quarter. Usually associated with aristocratic façades, wide avenues, and luxurious living (atypical for Madrid’s cosy centre), the neighbourhood attracts domestic and international elite. It’s also home to many embassies and private schools, as well as niche museums and designer boutiques along its ‘Golden Mile’. The demanding clientele has made the food scene equally exclusive, but while you’re likely to find quite a few Michelin-star restaurants in the area, there are lots of relaxed tapas bars for those less willing to splash the cash.
