Located in the trendy Malasaña, Labradorite is surrounded by art galleries, quirky restaurants and artisan coffee (we particularly recommend Toma Cafe). There's no wasted space in this home, as the coherent chic design has a strong presence in every room. Even though this is a full-time rental property, it doesn't feel boring – the colour-coordinated artwork on the walls makes Labradorite especially easy on the eyes.

* While this home can accommodate up to six guests, guests five and six will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room
* Our home critic had some trouble figuring out the lock when they visited – ask your host for detailed instructions
* The WiFi is quite patchy in the master bedroom
* There is no to this third-floor elevator and there are also steps in the home itself – those with limited mobility or heavy suitcases take note
* The kitchen only gets natural light from the living room
