From the undulating levels and rooftops of Casa Milà, to the shimmering facade of Casa Batlló, Gaudí’s influence on the Eixample district is of course what makes it truly special. At just a five- and eight-minute walk respectively, the building that houses your apartment is close enough to these iconic structures, but also offers its own brand of eye-catching design.
With the front being a bright yellow Colonial-style build, but featuring a shiny, modern extension up top, this home blends old and new in a stylish yet subtle way. There’s nothing very subtle about the grand entrance though – a marble staircase, decorative wooden door, and tiled flooring make your arrival feel like a VIP experience.
Upstairs in your apartment, this luxe vibe continues into a modern living space. A colour scheme of greys and neutral tones makes the room feel relaxed, but with high-quality furnishings and decorations. There’s almost a Scandi-chic feeling to the decor, although the view from the bedroom balconette is distinctly Barcelona.
Our favourite spot for a chilled pitcher of sangría has to be the private terrace. With a set of stylish chairs, a coffee table, and surrounded by the diverse architecture of the area, this leafy terrace is the place you’ll want to be while listening to the sounds of the city, or chatting the night away.
