And trust us, with the Atlantic Ocean sparkling in the distance, you'll want to spend all day basking in that view.

Perfect for a couple, this pad has plenty of places to kick back and get comfortable. Plop down in the yellow chair with a good book and a refreshing drink, watching the ebb and flow of the tide. Stretch out on the sun-loungers or curl up on the plush sofa for an afternoon siesta before heading out for a night on the town – with a bevvy of bars and restaurants nearby, we think you'll need a mid-day pick-me-up.

As far as locations go, you can't ask for better. Las Palmas' sweeping Playa las Canteras is mere steps from your flat, so take advantage and while away your days snorkelling, surfing and swimming in the water. Shops, markets and eateries are also close at hand – as are options for hiking (Isleta Nature Reserve is a six-minute drive) and sightseeing (Plaza Santa Ana is thirteen minutes by car).
