Sleek and contemporary, this Porto Cristo villa is a far cry from the traditional fincas dotted across Mallorca. Its minimalist interior is spread across multiple floors and flooded with natural light. There's plenty of room for a family – especially in the breezy living area, which has a glimpse of the sea. But it was the sun-kissed terraces that caught our attention. Between the private pool, alfresco dining area and balcony off the main bedroom, it's no surprise you'll spend most of your days soaking up the rays. A bevvy of bars and restaurants are nearby, as are a rocky cove and the famous Drach Caves, although you'll need a car to explore the rest of the island.
Home truths: *This home is minimal in style, so it's not the most soulful or charming space.
*There's no lift here. You'll need to be able to climb stairs to reach the different bedrooms, terraces and living spaces. It may not be a good option for guests with small children or limited mobility.
*There are only six outdoor lounge chairs here, and the cushions could do with being replaced.
*The swimming pool isn't fenced. If you're bringing little ones, they'll need to be supervised at all times.
*Although Porto Cristo’s small beach is within walking distance, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. You'll need one if you want to explore the rest of the island.
