Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

If you're choosing a town house for your stay in rural Mallorca this could be the place. Behind an unassuming exterior on a street in sleepy Vilafranca de Bonany, this historic home packs some real wow factor. The entrance is eye-poppingly grand, with a double-height ceiling, stone walls and a sweeping staircase. Traditional terracotta floors keep the living space cool, while the arches and exposed beams give it a natural, rustic look. There's even an old well to add to the intrigue. A cosy sofa and armchairs face a log burner for winter stays, and there's a main kitchen fitted in traditional Mallorcan style. But we think you'll be doing much of your cooking and eating in the summer kitchen across the courtyard. Closed in with fabulous metal doors, it's a piece of this home's history preserved and updated. Cook on the huge, brick-built barbecue and enjoy long, lazy meals together in the extraordinary space. And that's just the indoors. The real showstopper here is the large walled garden, with lawns for the kids to play on and a stunning private pool. Find a cosy spot to sit and read on the covered terrace or pull up a sun lounger next to the orange tree. With an outdoor table and chairs in the shade and lots of beautiful plants to admire, you might find yourself spending all day out here. And any guests who prefer a little privacy can choose the bedroom in the converted pool house at the end of the garden. From here it's just steps to the nearest shops and restaurants, with more to appeal to tourists in Petra and Manacor. Drive to the beach in less than half an hour and to the Caves of Drach in twenty-five minutes.
