Disappear into your own world in this sprawling country house, perched in the foothills of the Tramuntana Mountains. A traditional eighteenth-century farmhouse, it has been lovingly restored yet still retains original Mallorquin features, including high ceilings with wooden beams, terracotta tiles and thick stone walls that keep everything cool. Step outside and you will be blown away by the landscape: verdant rolling fields and vineyards are set against a mountainous backdrop, while the villa itself is surrounded by trees and native plant life. The owners even have their own vineyard where you can pick your own grapes. The vast pool surrounded by a checkerboard deck and plenty of sun loungers is the perfect place to while away the hours. After a ferocious ping pong tournament, settle in for al fresco lunch, or drive six minutes into Pollensa town, where there are plenty of excellent restaurants, and a market every Sunday selling food, clothes, and local wares. The beach is not far either, with Cala sa Vicente Pollença reachable in ten minutes by car. For the more intrepid explorers, there are nearby hiking routes, taking you through lush scenery. Come evening, fire up the barbecue and admire the sunset over the mountains in your private paradise.
