Explore sunny Mallorca from this magical base, located in the rural village of Algaida. Enclosed by natural stone walls, the secluded house is generous in both space and character. You'll no doubt find yourself poolside most of the time – when you're not sunbathing on the roof terrace. The saltwater swimming pool is a private place to absorb the Spanish heat (without being overwhelmed by it). At this home, you'll be well-placed to explore the rest of the island. Palma, the capital, is less than a half hour's drive away. If you venture into the city, you can't miss Santa María cathedral, an impressive Gothic structure. Shop and eat your way through the wide tree-lined boulevards and practice your Spanish with the locals. If you're more beach inclined than urban-minded, you should factor Es Trenc into your itinerary. A forty-minute drive from the villa, this idyllic expanse of sand and sea is Mallorca's most famous beach, but it's managed to remain unspoiled. Spend the day horizontal between dips in the cerulean waters.
