A sense of calm will wash over you from the moment you arrive at this idyllic home. Surrounded by palm trees and fragrant gardens, this grand villa in the Costa del Sol has beautiful views of the mountains, sumptuously decorated rooms, and a spectacular swimming pool. The villa is designed in the opulent Ancient Roman style, with a pillared portico entrance that leads through to the atrium with a fountain at its centre. A shaded terrace wraps around the house, with plenty of places to relax, an alfresco dining table and a high spec barbecue for whipping up traditional Spanish feasts. Start the day with a dip in the crystalline waters of the pool, before enjoying breakfast on the terrace. There are plenty of sun loungers to relax on, as well as a ping pong table for a quick games in between sunbathing. You could easily spend all week admiring the gardens and splashing around in the water, but there’s plenty to explore nearby too. This home is on the outskirts of the famous Mijas Golf Resort, with two excellent 18-hole courses, and also a short drive to the buzzy town of Fuengirola, with its beautiful beach. After a day of sun, sea, and sand, come home and enjoy cocktails on the terrace while the kids run around in the garden and play on the trampoline.
