Despite its prime position, the surrounding streets have a quiet, local feel, lined with historic buildings, neighbourhood restaurants and independent shops. Back home, the interiors are bright and welcoming. There's no air conditioning, but with so much to explore on your doorstep – plus a private patio and garden for enjoying balmy evenings – we expect you'll be spending more time out than in.
