If you think of an authentic Spanish home in the mountains, you’ll likely be picturing this villa. It’s a fine example of a traditional home in Spain, with tiled floors, exposed brick, and wooden beams. Best of all, it’s an oasis far from the tourist crowds of the cities. This villa sits in a rural spot just outside of the small town of Alora, in the Guadalhorce Valley. Dramatic mountains dominate the skyline surrounding the home, so your eye is constantly drawn to the view. It’s a rustic escape in a tranquil part of Spain, where you can really focus on relaxing and making happy holiday memories. The villa is comfortable and welcoming, with all the basics you might need for a break. If you’re anything like us though, you’ll be spending most of your time outside – it’s where this home really shines. The covered terrace with a barbecue and outdoor dining area is perfect for every meal, whether you’re sipping your morning coffee with pastries, or settling down to languid lunches that evolve into late-night feasts. All the while, the sweeping view of the mountains serves as a breath-taking backdrop. When you’re not dining alfresco, you’ll be swimming in the private swimming pool, or soaking up the sun alongside it. Revel in the peaceful setting as you float in the cool water, feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin. It’s absolute bliss.
