Surrounded by peaceful olive groves and palm trees, this villa is perfectly positioned in the Andalucian countryside. It’s six kilometres from the pretty mountain town of Tolox, where whitewash buildings sit against the mountain scenery, home to shops, restaurants and cafés. This is also where several hiking trails lead into the stunning Sierra Nevada mountains. Perched atop a mountain, you’ve got a panoramic view over the olive groves, hills and forests from your terrace. There’s a swimming pool for a cooling dip and a luxurious double daybed with billowing white curtains for delving into a good book. A veranda runs the length of the villa for outdoor dining and reclining in the shade. Inside, terracotta tiled floors and exposed stone walls keep things feeling cool and rustic. There’s a fireplace in the living room should the evening turn chilly. Wood-carved and granite-topped, the kitchen feels like the cosy farmhouse kitchens of times gone by. Plus, there’s a stone-built barbecue outside for alfresco feasts.
