Dusk or dawn, the best spot to relish in the scenery is on the panoramic deck. Pull up a chair and pour yourself a cocktail, take a dip in the showstopping plunge pool or gather around the outdoor table for an alfresco feast in the seaside air – every second here will feel like a wonderland. It's so heavenly, in fact, we bet you'll find it hard to tear yourself away – but if you do, there's plenty nearby to tempt you.

It's just a short walk down to Camps Bay beach, so spend the afternoon lounging in the sand and swimming in the Atlantic. The waterfront promenade is lined with shops, restaurants and lively bars – ideal for anything from a quick bite to eat to a night on the town. Fancy some hiking? Head to Table Mountain National Park, where trails for every level of hiker lead through the mountains.
