As you would hope from a home in such stunning surroundings, there are an awful lot of floor-to-ceiling windows across the three storeys, which have the added perk of flooding the interior with natural light. This asset is only accentuated by the bare wooden floors and sleek surfaces in the kitchen and bathrooms. The furnishings are mid-century in style, which adds an urbane sophistication to the lounges and bedrooms.

And of course, you're well and truly spoilt when it comes to outside amenities, too. The plunge pool offers a spot in which to cool off during the hottest part of the afternoon and the inbuilt sound system only adds to the ambience. Added to this, there's a covered terrace complete with an alfresco dining table, plus balconies off the bedrooms that are superb for sunset-watching.

You might just find you can only gaze out at the ocean for so long before you feel compelled to venture over for a swim – the good news is that Camps Bay Beach is only six minutes' drive away. Lion's Head doesn't take much longer if you're in the mood for a hike, while Cape Town's bustling city centre is a quarter of an hour away by car.
