Whilst the accommodation is enviably remote, supplies can be reached in the town of Salen (9 miles) with its general store and a hotel with a bar and restaurant. You can also visit Kilchoan, 12 miles away, for a chance to embark on a ferry ride to the Isle of Mull. If you've ever wanted to experience life in harmony with nature, this little cottage will suit you perfectly. On the banks of Loch Sunart, it's completely secluded and blends into the woodlands with a turf roof and walls of local timber and stone. Step inside the heavenly hideaway to reach an open plan living and sleeping space. Windows let in light all around the curved design, which faces mostly south, making the most of the light. The lounge area, with comfortable armchairs and a sofa, is the perfect place to curl up with a book. You ll feel cosy even on the coldest of Highland winter days with the open fire blazing and the underfloor heating switched on. You can go about your activities in the warm embrace of the cosy space, pottering around the kitchen and dining up dinner at the table for two by the window.
