Area
Aviemore, in the Cairngorms National Park in the centre of the Scottish Highlands, is a fantastic place to spend a holiday. You can enjoy some great outdoor activities here, such as fishing, hiking through the beautiful forests and hills, or golfing at one of the many top-notch courses. Sailing, horseback riding, and birdwatching are also popular activities; visitors may see rare birds like Ospreys and Capercaillies. Aviemore is a wonderful home base from which to explore the Highlands and the neighbouring Grampian Mountains. The region is well-known to millions as the setting of the popular TV series "Monarch of the Glen," and it is dotted with historic castles and tempting distilleries. In the summer, you can go fishing on the majestic River Spey, and in the winter, you can go skiing at the Cairngorms and the Lecht ski centres, which are great for both experienced skiers and beginners. In addition to the town's championship golf course and swimming pool, Highland offers a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and hotels, many of which feature live entertainment throughout the season.
