Up the curving stairs is a spacious king size bed with enhanced views over the old park land and next door is a shower and WC. Attached to the cottage is a fully enclosed garden with furniture and a fire pit, to enjoy al fresco dining or late night star gazing. There is also secure Bike storage and ample off road parking. Found at the end of the quiet and rural Rulewater valley, local amenities are close at hand. The picturesque village of Denholm is just 2.5m away, and boasts a local Post Office and village shop, an Italian restaurant, welcoming inns, a coffee shop and even a garage. Over the hill lies the Town of Jedburgh. Steeped in history, with an Abbey, a Castle and Jail and Mary Queen of Scots House to explore, not to mention various boutique shops and coffee houses to peruse. The cottage is set just off the Borders Abbey Way, a beautiful circular walk spanning 65miles, including Jedburgh, Melrose, Kelso and Dryburgh s 12 Century Abbeys. The world renown biking center of Innerleithen and Glentress is also well within reach and Kielder Forest with its Observatory, is also well worth a visit.
