It was a mothers day present. We got there, location is lovely, views great, 24 miles from Stirling all ideal. The track needs repaired up to it, luckily I have a 4x4. We stepped inside and where shocked by the state of the place. Un-vacuumed, not dusted for years, stunk of dog and kippers. Sat on the settee it was damp and stinking of wet dog. Banged my head off the light fittings in kitchen and on the top of the door lintel while trying to negotiate the step. Kitchen was scruffy, we washed microwave it was unwashed for weeks, smelled and had grease on it. Some dishes where put away unwashed. Everywhere was full of dust in the whole property we cleaned some of it. Then upstairs it looked like a lot of sick on the carpet. The fires had not been emptied of ashes, the stairs are steep and the top step is higher and the banister stops before it making it dangerous. There where dead flies and cobwebs everywhere. I poked through Sykes who where good at helping us, to contact them I had to walk up some dangerous steps to the garden where I was greeted with dog poo, They contacted the owner who arrived as we where leaving 3 hours was enough. I told the owner the place is scruffy, her reply was it's clean nothing wrong with it. I said you are joking. Her reply was I hope you don't find anywhere to stay until midnight. The owner needs to take it off the market urgently. Disgusting place that needs ripped up and start again.

Visited this property last month. My wife and I were booked for a week however we left after 2 nights. The main bedroom was not clean. There was evidence of dog poo on the carpet. The carpet also had a dark line of build-up around the chest of drawers. When we decided to cut our break short, we stripped the bed as requested by the owner. The bed frame had a build up of heavy dust round the frame, and the bed itself was in poor condition. The main bathroom had black mould that had been painted over but was coming through and was very visible. This also created a musty smell. The shower head was cellotaped .This prevented the movement of the shower. In the main living area, there was a woodburning stove. The slab that it sat on was filthy and stained when we arrived, and the fireside rug was torn in two places I have raised the issues with Sykes and have photos that I have sent them. The owner is not accepting responsibility and is not answering emails from them.

A cottage that has everything you could need, lovely woodburner in front room and bedrooms. Deer that u can watch from windows grazing right near the cottage, fall asleep to tge sound of the stream that runs at the side of cottage. Perfert place to relax, no neighbours no noise just the sound of the animals definately booking again highly recommend. The owner is very good at sorting any small problems that may arise and gets it seen to immediately

Fantastic cosy old shepherd's cottage near the shore of Loch Earn at Lochearnhead. I'm an perfect location if you're after a chillout get away from it all holiday which is exactly what I wanted. Lounge. Spacious and cosy with lig burner stove and beautiful views. It has 2 comfy sofas and an armchair. There's WiFi and a landline phone and a small TV which wasn't a problem for me. Kitchen is spacious and has everything you need to cook a meal. The fridge is a good size but has a small freezer compartment large table to sit 6 people in comfort. Large bathroom/shower/wc room. There's a separate toilet with wash basin too next to the lounge Master bedroom is downstairs and is enormous and has 2 windows with gorgeous views. You can even light the fire in the bedroom with logs to take the chill off on colder nights and it has a fireguard . Large wardrobe and chest of drawers. Upstairs has a spacious twin bedroom and single bedroom. Garden is lovely with a large wooden patio table and chairs. Chairs have cushions you can put on them that's stored on windowsill where boiler is. There's central heating and hot water This place was perfect for me. First visit to Highlands and I'm hoping I'll be a frequent visitor here. The welcome gifts of biscuits and jam were a very nice personal touch along with the handwritten letter from the owners. Totally exceeded my expectations
