The property

Nestled in the picturesque fishing village of Findhorn in Moray, Scotland is this delightful two-bedroom, first-floor apartment.

Aurora View enjoys spectacular views of The Moray Firth & beyond.

It is the prime location in the UK to view the Northern Lights given the right atmospheric conditions & a clear sky.

However even if you are not lucky enough to see The Northern Lights, from the apartment you will get to sit in comfort and enjoy watching for wildlife including gannets, seals and dolphins.

Aurora View enjoys a wonderful location just moments from Findhorn's beautiful sandy beach, as well as offering fabulous views looking out over the sand dunes and towards the bay, Aurora View makes for an idyllic dwelling for two couples or a family of four looking to explore this fantastic part of Scotland.

Park up in the allocated off-road resident parking space, before unloading your bags and making your way through the shared entrance and up to the first floor to begin your holiday.

Be welcomed into the spacious open-plan living space, where you can look forward to rustling up flavourful meals for your guests in the well-equipped kitchen, with the help of the electric oven, ceramic hob, grill, fridge, microwave and a dishwasher, ensuring cleaning up is a breeze!

Settle down at the dining table for four as you tuck-in to a delicious meal over a bottle of wine and discuss plans for the days ahead.

After a satisfying meal, retreat to the plush sofa where you can snuggle up in front of a much-loved TV series with your favourite tipple.

Wash away the day with an indulgent soak in the bath or a refreshing shower, before popping on fresh pyjamas and catching your rest in one of two well-presented bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, both with plenty of storage for your belongings.

Awake from a leisurely slumber and prepare for the day in style, before rustling up a morning coffee ready to enjoy on the communal lawn as you take in the impressive views.

Explore the local area, where you will find a good selection of eateries right on your doorstep, including Findhorn Bakery, The Kimberley Inn & The Captain's Table, ideal for those evenings where you don't feel like cooking!

There is also the small, but informative Findhorn Heritage Centre nearby where you can learn more about the village and its rich history or a 10 minute walk away is the world renowned Findhorn Foundation ecovillage & community, established for over 50 years it is a wonderful place to visit & hosts speakers about eco-living as well as hosting a experience week several times a year.

Head over to Findhorn Beach, where you can beach combe the shores, explore the water activities on offer at Findhorn Marina or treat your guests to a scrumptious ice cream from the Captains Parlour.

Just a short drive away is the village of Kinloss, where you will find the impressive Kinloss Abbey, as well as the excellent Kinloss Country Golf Club, where golf enthusiasts can test their clubs across 18-holes.

Further afield, you will find the bustling town Elgin, which is home to the Elgin Museum, the Moray Motor Museum and the historic Lady Hill monument.

Be sure to pay the town's superb 13th-century cathedral a visit, with its vast towers and vaulted arches, it is a budding historian's dream.

For an unforgettable escape to Scotland, look no further than Aurora View.

Where you’ll be staying

FINDHORN

Kinloss 3 miles; Forres 5 miles; Elgin 13 miles.

Findhorn was at one time a very busy fishing port, and still preserves its strong connections with the sea today, with much of its village life centred around the bay, and fantastic sailing and watersports opportunities available with the Royal Findhorn Yacht Club resting on the waterfront. Its scenic location and gentle climate, influence by the Gulf Stream, make it a desirable destination. It is perhaps best known for being the home to the world-famous Findhorn Foundation, with its Ecovillage and international centre for holistic education. Findhorn boast two pubs, two cafes, an organic bakery and a local store, and is well placed for visiting the many pretty ports and villages nestled along the Moray Firth coastline. The Malt Whisky Trail can be joined close by and the Cairngorm National Park can be found within an hour’s drive. The hub of the Highlands, the city of Inverness, is just 25 miles to the west, and is well worth a day trip, where you will discover its historic buildings and atmospheric NT Culloden Battlefield.
