We came and stopped at Grant cottage over Christmas with our 2 children and our dog! We booked it literally at the last hour and arrived very early hours of the morning however the owners had made sure it was lovely warm and cosy for our arrival even the Christmas tree was all lit up…..nice touch! The area is unspoilt and beautiful, we seen many deer whilst we were there. The cottage itself has everything you could possibly need. Everything is thought about here! The hot tub was fab addition too! Everywhere was immaculately clean and the beds super comfortable. The hosts were on hand if you needed anything yet weren’t one bit intrusive. There is a local little shop for all your essential but if you want/needed a bigger shop it’s a short ferry trip to fort William, this did worry us initially however it only took 2 mins to cross (£10 each way) and added to our adventures. The kids loved it! Would 100% return to Grant cottage. Loved our stay! Thank you such great hosts! Nick

Cannot rate this property, location and hosts enough. I was genuinely devastated to have to leave. Property: immaculate, cosy, welcoming. It has everything you need and the hot tub was a special treat. Any issues you have Caroline and Adrian will sort immediately but I’d be surprised if anyone could find fault/a problem. Location: quiet, secluded, picturesque beyond words. You’re in the middle of nowhere and it’s fabulous. The walks are amazing, because the light pollution is none existent the night sky is beyond belief and we saw wild deer every day we were there. The Autumn colours were truly breathtaking. Hosts: top notch. Very approachable, friendly and they know the area. They’ll tell you the best walks and scenic drives, where to get the best grub, where to go and what to see. Ask nicely and you might even get to meet Nana the Newfoundland! Had the best holiday ever and am hoping desperately to go back but for a longer break next year with my family. Thank you Caroline and Adrian for making it a very memorable experience. See you next year

I spent a few days here with my family and two dogs, and we all had the most incredible time. I genuinely couldn’t recommend staying here more. The stargazing, the incredible nature you’re surrounded by and all the people were so kind and helpful. Both Adrian and Caroline are a delight to chat to, giving great advice for places in the area to go for walks and drives. The cottage itself was beautiful too, incredibly clean, lovely and warm in the cold autumn. The beds were so comfortable to sleep in after days of long walks, and the hot tub was lovely to relax in. Can’t wait until next year for my next holiday there

Wonderful stay at Grant Cottage. Location beautiful & so peaceful. The owners have thought of everything the guests require & the hot tub is the icing on the cake. Great base for any activity you want to do. Can't wait to go back.

Very quiet location approx 1km riverside walk from village centre and shoreline of loch Sunart. Bird song, bees buzzing in the sycamores and near constant cuckoo calling are the only sounds to disturb the silence . Very well equipped clean and tidy cottage and very dog friendly. Stunning walks from the door particularly the 10km loop up the Strontian river valley via Aryundle and the ‘fairies road’. Caroline and Adrian very helpful particularly when I stupidly temporarily lost our door key. Hot tub a great way to chill after a day’s exertions. Worst thing about the cottage? The knives are a bit pointy for spreading marmalade on your toast. That tells you how (near) perfect this place is! Thank you both.
