In the heart of Muir of Ord in the picturesque Highlands, this grand home has group gatherings written all over it. The design is somewhat dated but undeniably cosy. The two main suites have zip-and-link beds for ultimate flexibility, while the singles are a great fit for children – just note that little ones under 5 years old aren't allowed. When you fancy some sunshine, explore the mature gardens or enjoy a whisky aperitif in the walled courtyard – the village is home to an award-winning distillery that's well worth a visit. Also nearby is an eighteen-hole golf course, a few cafes, and a train station with links to nearby Inverness.

Home truths
While the second single bedroom isn't photographed, expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
Children under 5 years old (including infants) are not allowed here.
Both super king-sized beds can be converted into twins upon request.
We highly suggest hiring a car in this location. Private parking is available for four to five cars.
The traditional decor here might not be to everyone's taste. It feels a little dated in parts.

About Inverness
With Loch Ness right next door, empty Glens dotting the countryside and the Speyside whisky region just down the road, folk tend to use Inverness as a base for exploring the untamed Scottish Highlands. But lingering a while in this small city has its rewards. Strolling between the willow trees on the banks of the River Ness and catching a glimpse of Inverness Castle is just one of those rewards....
