What a find ! ! Fantastic holiday home for the week that really made our holiday. Lovely to come home to each evening. So clean and very spacious .Plenty of wardrobes in all the bedrooms and landing. Plus entrance porch for coats and boots. Comfy bed ,great showers and everything we needed in the kitchen and utility .Plenty of parking space and the garden is l lovely to sit out in . Only a five minute walk into town and plenty of walks from the door .Lovely host Clare who helped with recommendations for the area .Would highly recommend this property and would stay again if we are in the area again .

Bruach Gorm is a lovely house easily able to accommodate a party of 6.. There is plenty of space and the rooms are a good size, with the added benefit of a garden if the weather is nice. It is tucked down a lane and is lovely and quiet, yet a short walk to the shops etc. The house is well equipped with everything you need for your stay. If cooking and dining in, the kitchen is well equipped. This is a great base for exploring the area. The Aviemore area is a short drive away and you can easily easily travel to the coast east of Inverness, the Speyside area, or further afield. Grantown has a good array of shops, if not their are supermarkets in Aviemore.

This is our second visit to this cottage. Its a great place to stay, has everything one would need. Also lots of space if you have children with you. Car parking next to the house. A short walk to the shops, Co-op and cafes/restaurant. The cottage is perfect. The owners live in an ajoining house and are very helpful.

We had a great weekend, and would highly recommend !! Only negative was post code/ directions which took us to the opposite end and side of the road ! But after a phone call to Sykes giving us our hosts number we got there !!

Bruach Gorm cottage is exceptionally well fitted and beautifully finished; it doesn't seem like a holiday cottage, more like a place to call home! We both think it is one of the best self-catering properties we have ever used, and we want to return soon. Grantown on Spey is a very special town, and is ideally situated for exploring the Cairngorms National Park and the beautiful coastline of the Moray Firth.

The cottage was immaculate with everything you could possibly need.. It’s location is not only great for the shops and restaurants but for dog walks in the woods. Jessie and Suzy (both Jack Russells) want us to book again to go back as soon as possible.

We all enjoyed our stay at Bruach Gorm.. Claire came to introduce herself when we arrived and had left us a starter kit with marmalade, tea, coffee etc so there was no need to rush to the shops. She even left some biscuits for Lady, my dog. The rooms are spacious and there are lots of books, game and dvd's for use on wetter days. The house is ideally situated near to shops and eateries and the kitchen is well equipped for home cooking.

A well equipped and comfortable cottage, with friendly owner living next door.. An ideal place from which to explore Speyside, visit distilleries, and walk in the Cairngorms. The garden was well secured, very good for our dog and young child. Grantown-on-Spey itself is a nice town, with good options for eating out, takeaways and a Co-op.

This is a fantastic house - it had absolutely everything we needed and much more, it was spotlessly clean when we arrived and it's in a great location, just off the high street. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants within a few minutes walk as well as a decent supermarket. The owner was lovely and very welcoming. The Anagach woods just by the house were absolutely beautiful in September with the heather in full bloom.

Bruach Gorm Cottage is a really gorgeous place for a holiday. This was probably the best holiday home we ever stayed in.

August 2014
Very impressed with the location and layout of the Cottage. Shops, woodland walks, eateries and evening entertainment were in close proximity. The Cottage caters extremely well for a family and we were particularly impressed with items such as board games, books, family DVD's and games console for those inevitable rainy days. There was a large enclosed garden which the kids loved, the owner was very friendly and welcoming and it was ideal for a dog owner. The Cottage is discreetly tucked away behind other properties which enhances that feeling of privacy. In terms of geography the Cottage is only 30 mins from most tourist attractions which suited the kids. Overall, loved this holiday and would not hesitate to return, excellent! Thanks for a great week.

Just returned from spending the New Year week with my husband, daughter, son in law two granddaughters and our dog. Spacious, cosy, well equipped everything we had hoped for and more. Although tucked away at the back of houses it is in an excellent location, 5 mins to the co-op and near excellent forest walks for the dog. The cottage is very child and dog friendly with its own garden for them to play in.

This is the second time we have stayed at Bruach Gorm so that says it all. Three generations had space within the house and did not feel on top of each other. Kitchen items are of high quality as are all the furnishings.

This was our second time at BruachGorm cottage and have loved it both times. It is an ideal location for anybody wanting to discover this area. We loved the enclosed garden for our young kids to play in. The owner adds little touches like, locally sourced groceries waiting for you on arrival. We even managed to see the neighbours hens and he was kind enough to give us 2 fresh eggs for our kids breakfast.

Exceptionally well equipped property with lovely added extras. We very much appreciated the homemade jam, bread, juice and fresh flowers. The Highland Stoneware crockery was beautiful and exceptionally good for a rental property. We had a lovely week and thanks to the advise of two helpful ladies in the local bookshop found some great places to visit.

The great outdoors is on the doorstep, good amenities in the small town of Grantown, the owners and their family were really friendly and helpful, in fact all the people we met were the friendliest in any part of the country, not because they had to be just because they were.

Cottage is very well maintained and owner is very friendly and helpful. The groceries and homemade marmalade was very welcomed, as were the fresh flowers, little Easter eggs and biscuits for the dog. Cottage is easily kept clean and kitchen is very well equipped with quality appliances, nothing has been supplied on a budget. The enclosed garden is a real bonus so we could let our dog could laze in the sun without worry.
